Abstract
This four-school study demonstrated benefits to grade 6-8 students in engagement and developing higher level responses within the literature circle model through using wikis, web 2.0 applications, high interest texts, and explicit teaching in a collaborative teaching environment. Appendices include background and teacher reflections, student quotes, literature circle text list and reflection rubric/sentence starters, wiki design for literature circles, and data graphs.
