Brock Elementary School and J. L. Forster Secondary School Collaborative Inquiry
Abstract
Two schools explored how pairing mainstream students with English Language Learners (ELL) impacted social, oral, and academic skills through creating a ‘literacy platform that would foster an environment for ELL students to read texts and share their opinions about the texts with mainstream students”. Literature circles were developed in grades 6, 7, 8 at Brock; book buddies at Forster.
