Books of Life Project: Final Report from Lisgar Collegiate Institute
Abstract
This paper describes high-schools participating in the 2011 Ontario Teachers’ Federation “Books of Life Project” with a literacy-based project created to build awareness and make connections between schools having high First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FMNI) student bodies and other schools. Challenges and successes are shared, as well as a bibliography and workshop featuring readings/resources promoting FNMI awareness.
