Leading Together for Inquiry Learning
Abstract
This anecdotal narrative captures the observations of teacher dispositions and professional learning for student inquiry. The work of a system department team to support teaching and learning for school library learning commons is the context for the reflections regarding professional readiness to engage in inquiry and collaborative instructional design. It shines a light on the growth mindset for instructional leadership.
Cindy van Wonderen’s professional role is Instructional Leader, Library Learning Resources & Global Education in the Toronto District School Board. Additional roles are co-chair of the Voices for School Libraries network of CLA, the Canadian Library Association, OISE Librarianship AQ Facilitator and member of TALCO, The Association of Library Coordinators and Consultants of Ontario and OLA, the Ontario Library Association.
